Clearly Cloud Updates

New Features and Improvements released in March 2023 for Clearly Cloud Customers.

Allows Creating More Than One Company Directory

In previous versions of Clearly Cloud, there was a single default Company Directory that could be linked to things like; Auto Attendants and IVRs, where callers could start entering the first few letters of a user’s first or last name, to look them up if they were unsure of their extension. With the latest version, you can now create as many Company Directories as you need, pick which users are in each company directory, and allow callers to have access only to the specific directories you want to expose to them.

Clearly Cloud IVR Option

In a future release, we will be pushing an update to the Phone Provisioning system called “Cloud Device Manager (CDM),” which will allow you to populate a Directory button on supported phones to contain the contact information for users in a directory and also any external contacts that the user has access to in Clearly Cloud.

Open Up a Chat to a User from the Users Page in Call Panel

In previous versions of Clearly Cloud, if you wanted to send a chat message to a user, you had to navigate to the Chat tab first and locate the user to start a chat conversation. You can now begin a Chat Conversation right from the User Tab of the Call Panel.

Expand Call Barging Options

If given permissions in Call Panel to barge in on users in a call, you can now choose what type of barge you want to do each time you Barge into a user. The different types of barges to meet your needs are:

  • Monitor Call: Allows the person doing the Barge to come into the call and listen to both legs of the call but not talk, and neither side of the call knows the barger has barged in.
  • Full Barge-in: Allows the person doing the Barge to come into the call and listen to both legs of the call. Connected users will be muted and can unmute themselves and participate in the call. A tone would be played informing the callers that someone barged in.
  • Whisper on XXX: Allows the person doing the Barge to come into the call and listen to both legs but talk only to one particular caller. Only the selected leg of the call will hear the tone informing them someone has barged in.
  • Whisper on YYY: Allows the person doing the Barge to come into the call and listen to both legs but talk only to one particular caller. Only the selected leg of the call will hear the tone informing them someone has barged in.

Allow User Extensions to Forward Calls to Ring Group

In previous versions of Clearly Cloud, a user could not set up call forwarding to a Ring Group. You were limited to outside phone numbers or other extensions. You can now set a Ring Group as the Call Forward destination on your extension.

Faster and More Responsive Chat Interface

Opening the Chat Tab in Call Panel is now instant, and you can navigate to any conversation without waiting 2-3 seconds for things to load first like previous versions had.

Welcome Email for New Users Includes Clearly Anywhere Setup

When a user is set up, and you have the system send them a Welcome Email, it now includes the QR code and Hyperlink to auto-log the user into Clearly Anywhere if the user is set up with access to Clearly Anywhere. If the user permissions do not include Clearly Anywhere, this information will not be included in the Welcome Email to new Users.
